Assam CM,Himanta Biswa Sarma, attacked the Gandhi family, saying that they are "working to break the country" and urged Rahul Gandhi to give up the Gandhi surname.
Sarma referred to the Gandhi family as "Sardar of duplicate" and alleged their involvement in "too many scams."
Speaking at the BJP Mahila Morcha's national executive meeting in Guwahati, the Assam Chief Minister said "their first scam started with the title of Gandhi. They did only Parivarvad and worked on breaking the country. I request Rahul Gandhi to give away the Gandhi title."
Sarma praised PM Modi for his role in the adoption of the 'Delhi Declaration' during the G20 leaders' summit in Delhi, crediting Modi for this achievement amid the Ukraine-Russia conflict. He highlighted Modi's efforts to celebrate India's 75 years of Independence and unite the country.
The Chief Minister also announced the state government's plans to launch a major operation against child marriage within the next 10 days, emphasizing the government's commitment to social reforms.
